Friday Woodbine Selections

Three plays on the card today as we head into the weekend. My trainer sends out a filly he owns in the first race (Kirianna) I will be cheering but feel she may be in a level to high and will wait for a drop to make a play.

Race 3

Belle De Naskra (9/2)

This 4 Yr Old Maiden has Apprentice Brimo aboard and I think they will try and steal this on the front end, same scenerio as yesterday, if she can discourage the other speed early than she can pop at a price.

Race 6

Langburg (7/2)

Kabel aboard this 2 yr old, this one looks to be the stronger part of the entry and at this distance of 6F looks to be sitting on a big run today.

Race 8

Unforgettable Too (6-1) (Selection made for turf)

This race is scheduled for a mile on the turf, currently the skies are grey and rain is in the forecast so not sure if this will be run on the turf. The filly Near and Dear ships in for Bond from NY to run here and is odds on and will take a ton of the betting money but I have seen enough shippers struggle their first time over the turf course so i'm taking a shot on this Carroll trained filly and with a clean trip she could score at a very nice price.

Bad start as this filly never made it to the front and had to much to do finishing 4th.

As I figured the 3/5 Favorite that shipped in struggled and Damn turning for home at 16-1 I thought we had it, but had to settle for 2nd. See you all tomorrow.
